Colourist to the movers and shakers, Marley Xavier is a tastemaker and one of the most sought-after names in editorial, celebrity and film hair colour. Recognised in the Tatler Wedding Guide as a “notable talent… developing a devoted fan club” and featured in the little black books of A-list personalities, Marley’s reputation is built on exceptional artistry and an innate understanding of personal style.
His distinguished portfolio spans global fashion weeks, from Burberry to Marc Jacobs, as well as film, television and Netflix dramas. Marley works with top models, award-winning actresses, influential CEOs, and fashion and beauty insiders, placing him firmly at the forefront of the industry.
A perfectionist by nature, Marley delivers the A-list experience to his loyal clientele every day. Known for creating ‘ultra-wearable colour’, his expertise encompasses every hair type, including Middle-Eastern, Asian and Afro-textured hair, with particular mastery of blondes. His signature approach elevates naturalness, crafting a ‘born-with-it’ look that is both modern and timeless. Each client’s individuality informs his work; he shapes colour to enhance their unique features and tell the story they wish to project.
Marley began his career at just sixteen, apprenticing at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon before joining Trevor Sorbie London, where he rose to Director level in under six years. He was later head-hunted by the Josh Wood team, becoming Head of Education and Master Colourist. His artistry has been trusted for runway shows and campaigns for Valentino, Fendi, Burberry, YSL Beauty, Miu Miu and Versace, colouring some of the world’s most recognisable faces. His work regularly appears in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle and LOVE, and is relied upon by leading modelling agencies worldwide.
Marley Xavier is based in London and is represented by The Only Agency.
